A seminar on Futurism is to be held upon the centenary of its birth. Upon invitation by the Italian Cultural Institute and the Faculty of Arts of the University of Malta, as part of the series of Seminars Literature and Comparison, Prof. Massimo Arcangeli will hold a seminar in Italian entitled: Teoria e invenzione futurista. Filippo Tommaso Marinetti fra rivoluzione e anticipazione del futuro tomorrow, Monday 4 May, at the University of Malta’s Gateway Hall E at 6pm.
Massimo Arcangeli is a Professor at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature of the University of Cagliari and the Dean of the same Faculty. A linguist, sociologist of communication, literary critic and writer, he collaborates with public TV and radio stations. He writes on important Italian daily newspapers and periodicals and directs various editorial projects on linguistics and history of Italian language and literature. He is the author of over 200 essays and scientific articles.
