Compared with their inflammatory rhetoric, “Le Futurisme a Paris – Une Avant-garde Explosive,” the show at the Pompidou Center, is amazingly tame. By reducing the rabble-rousers to a mere school of painters, the organizers have swept the hype and hoopla, the group’s most conspicuous trademark, under the carpet.
