Manifesta 7, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art is being hosted in the region of Trentino July 19 – November 2, 2008.
As many of the works created for Manifesta 7 were site-specific, Fortunato Depero, a native of Trentino, proved to be the inspiration for Christian Phillipp Müller‘s Parata Parade as well as Barbara Visser’s Former Futures.
Furthermore, the Futurism archives held by MaRT in Rovereto inspired the Uqbar Foundation’s Fuga di un piano to revisit “the legacy of Futurism and then appl[y] contemporary perception.”
