In May 1915, the Lombard Volunteer Cyclist Battalion was formed to fight at the front against the Austrians. Among the first to enlist were the Futurists Umberto Boccioni, Anselmo Bucci, Achille Funi, Antonio Sant’Elia, Luigi Russolo, Ugo Piatti, Erba, Mario Sironi and Filippo Tommaso Marinetti. It would be here that Umberto Boccioni, Antonio Sant’Elia and Carlo Erba would lose their lives.

The exhibition at Riva del Garda highlights about 50 unpublished large-format photographs documenting the events related to the battle of Dosso Casina.
